Thank You Card

Hi this is the card I made as a thank you for my son's teacher, sorry it's a bit late posting it.  I've had camera issues hence the reason there is only one photo and it is not brilliant quality.

Miss Fenlon had taught Alistair for two years and she was fab, lovely, fair but firm, basically any good words you can think of for a teacher.  I know both me and Alistair will miss her.  At least Ally will still see her around school.

I also made a wall hanging for her classroom and this is a photo of her with Alistair after he gave it to her.

Thanks for looking!

Pre Blog Cards 2nd Attempt

Hi, hope you are all having a good week.

Below are a selection of some cards I made over the last couple of years, I've tons more photos but just have selected a few to show some different ideas.

This is a card I made for my best friend, which included a very old photo off of us on a night out which she thought was hilarious.

I love monochrome cards, this photo does not do this one justice as I used pearlescent card and printed velum which you can't see in the photo.

I have to admit that this was a very quick card I made for a friends daughter, I thought it was a bit plain but I used her favourite colour and she loved it.

These were made for one of my best friends birthdays last year.
This one was from her daughter using the first Tilda stamp I bought.

This one was from her son, and of course I had to have an Edwin to go with Tilda.

This one was from her husband, I used 40 roses in different sizes with some crystal hearts, all fastened onto a wicker heart which swings on the card, it took ages but she thought it was fantastic so that's what counts.

This one was from me, playing with one of my fave stamps and using crackle glaze for the first time.

I'm hoping to get some more cards made very soon and will post those as and when, but I may well add some more of my fave oldies at a later date.

Bye for now and take care.

Lots of Luv 'n' stuff

Supposed to be some of my Pre Blog Cards

Good evening everyone, hope you are all well.

In my previous post I mentioned that I'd been diagnosed with Diabetes and that I was going for my medication the next day, well guess what I'm still waiting.  This means I'm still spending most of my time sleeping or drinking gallons of water, and not enough time reading my fave blogs, I apologise to you all for my absence and will be back soon.

Having Type 2 Diabetes the first treatment they usually try is eating a healthy diet along with sensible amounts of physical activity, but as I've been losing weight with Slimming World (I rejoined in February) and in total have lost just over 3 stone so far, obviously dieting was not the answer for managing my blood glucose levels as I'm still symptomatic (as my doctor put it).  The next course of treatment for Type 2 would normally be medication in tablet form (Metformin) unfortunately this affects the glucose production in your liver and I have the added complication of suffering from an auto immune disease of the liver called Primary Biliary Cirrhosis (PBC - very rare which I think just makes me more special, lol), so now I've been referred to a Diabetologist (I know an 'ologist') at the hospital, which in fairness is fine, it's better to see a specialist and get the correct treatment, it's just I'm fed up of waiting now I just want something that will make me feel more like my normal self.  The Diabetic Nurse at my doctor's surgery seems to think that I'll be put on insulin so that'll be interesting!!  I'll let you know the outcome once I've seen the 'ologist'.

Anyway, as I've not made hardly any cards due to being asleep most of the time, I've decided to post some old ones just to show what I've done in the past before I started my blog.

Well, I just tried to upload some photos and my internet connection has gone on a major go slow so I will try again tomorrow.

Night night and take care,

It's been so long!!!

First things first, sorry for not being on here for so long, not been too good health wise which has made me extremely tired so PC use has been severely limited (been sleeping instead, lol)

Anyway, I go for my medication tomorrow so hopefully will start to feel more like my normal self again and will have the chance to post more regularly.

I have managed to make a few cards while I've been away from Blogland so I'll let you have a quick lookysee but there won't be any detail added as I made them so long ago I can't remember the nitty gritty now, but I'm sure you'll all get the idea.

Hope you like what you've seen.

I am going to post some quite old photos soon of cards I made before I started my blog.  Again with those there won't be any detail but just want to show what I've done in the past.

See you soon

Take Care

Grandma's are just antique little girls!

Hi,  Just a quick post tonight to show a card I made a few weeks ago.  It was actually given at a Mother's Day card by some grandchildren to their Nan.

The stamp is a SWALK stamp that I got from a good friend.  I just loved the sentiment!

I coloured the image with promarkers and I think the DT is a Brenda Pinnick but don't quote me in case my memory is failing.  The flowers and pearls I've had in my stash for yonks.  I wanted to keep the whole card fairly light and simple but not sure if it was a little too plain in the end.

The recipient loved the card.

Hope you like her too.

LILY OF THE VALLEY STAMPS

Hiya, long time no see.  Sorry for my absense on here.  I have two very good reasons, firstly it has been manic at work and also my internet access has been more or less none existent and driving me crazy with how slow it has been.

Anyway I went to the NEC last month and bought some LOTV stamps, they are sooo cute.  So at long last here are some of the cards I've made with some of them.

oO-Oo

This first card was made for a friend's birthday.  I used Promarkers for this one and the DP I think is DCWV. Ribbon, lace and gems from stash and the sentiment was a stamp from the NEC.

The card has not been sent yet, not sure who or what I will use it for, I just wanted to colour the stamp and try out my new MS Around the Page punch set.  (Actually just come back up the page to let you know I've decided this card is going to be for my Mum and Dad's Wedding Anniversary in June).
I used distress inks to colour this image on the watercolour card I also purchased at the NEC, what a huge difference it made using the correct paper.

I gave this card to my Mum for Mother's Day, I made it without a sentiment at first, I loved the DP, another one from DCWV and coloured the stamped image with Promarkers to coordinate.  After a few days I added the Mum cut on my Cricut, I have used stickles on the wording but it doesn't show too well on the photo.

Finally this was a very quick card that I made just to use the image I'd coloured whilst I was playing.  The DP this time is from a Brenda Pinnick pad.

I did buy a more stamps that I haven't got round to using yet but I will do as soon as poss.

Hope you like what you've seen and thanks for dropping by.

With Love and Thanks

Sorry I've been away for so long. Home life has been really hectic for the last 2-3 weeks and I've had very little time for crafting, spending all my time running round with or after the kids.

I did manage to make a card last weekend to thank Marlene for the wonderful candy I won a while back.  It has taken 3 attempts to make it and I'm still not totally happy as I wanted a more professional look, I must make sure that Copics are on my birthday list this year. Anyway, I decided that I was taking too long and thought it was better to send a card sooner rather than wait for me to be truly happy.

Marlene should have received it by now so I feel happy to post it on here.

The stamp, flowers, ribbons and pearls were from the candy and the papers, Fiskars Border Punch, brads and with Love stamp were all from my stash.

Hope you like it.

Severe Lack of Time

Hi

I just wanted to let you all know I am still here.  Unfortunately it has been a bit manic lately and crafting has had to take a back seat while I've been doing loads of other things which are nowhere near as much fun.  I fully intend to spend this weekend doing the some of the things I like, so should have something to show you all by Sunday evening.  In the meantime I've satisfied myself by having a quick look at my fave blogs each evening just before bed.

See ya later.

Joy Fold Cards

I was playing the other day and decided to try making a joy fold card as suggested on the Sugar Nellie Group on Facebook.  I wasn't organised enough to enter these for the Facebook Challenge, lets see if I can manage to do an easel card to fit this weeks!

This is my first one following the sizes in the tutorial. I used up the scraps of paper left over from my daughter's birthday card from the Papermania Love Colossal Paper Pack, very eco friendly.  My printer was out of action while I waited for my new ink cartridges to arrive so had to resort to some peel offs for the word Aunt.

Then I made up my own size that would fit in a C5 envelope.  The papers were from the Papermania Flowery Colossal Paper Pack.

Finally I made one that opened the other way (up and down) but still big enough to fit in a C5 envelope.

At least my printer cartridges have arrived and I can go back to printing my sentiments that I don't have a stamp for.

Hope you like them.

Take care and lots of luv
