I hope you are all well. I'm a little later than hoped writing this post. You know how it is, life just get in the way lol.
Anyway, last spring I bought the Beautiful MDF Wall Unit from Ali Reeve at Clevercut. I built it up at home to see how it looked but didn't glue anything or do any decorating, then it stayed like that under my table until last week.
I am pleased to say I've finally got round to making the unit up permanently and have decorated it too. I must admit to getting my inspiration from Ali's example on her website. I just need to seal it with mat varnish before hanging it on my wall.
I painted the blank MDF with Crown Magnolia emulsion paint. The reason for this is that it will match the wall it is going to hang on.
I used Graphic 45, Baby 2 Bride papers to decorate the main areas of the unit. I attached lace from my stash around the top edge and round the bottom using my hot glue gun. I also used some of the chipboard embellishments from the paper pack with twine on the top scalloped edge. Finally all the edges with distressed using Antique Linen Distress Ink. Hope you like it, because I love it.
Excuse the mess in the background on this shot. lol
Here I just wanted to show that I'd hot glued some flat back pearls onto the ends of the pegs, just to make them look more pretty.
I'm really pleased with the overall finished product.
Thanks for popping in.
Lots of Love
Cheers
